This one’s got real staying power for a board book—the pages are thick enough that my toddler can “drive” it around the room without bending a single corner. The minimal text leaves just enough room for her to add her own sound effects, and the starred review hype is honestly earned.

My kid can't talk yet, but she already flips back and forth trying to find the page where the truck "drives" off the spread, and the board book's sturdiness has survived about fifty reads. The minimal illustrations let her focus on the one thing on each page, which is exactly what a baby needs.

The pages are thick enough that my toddler hasn't managed to rip them yet, and the simple, bold art really holds her attention. It's got that minimalism thing going on, but she's totally engaged with every page turn, which is honestly all I ask for from a board book.
