Original Artwork by Verity Kizek.

Gouache on Linen, Oak Frame

Artist Bio:

Verity Kizek is an artist living and working in Sydney, Australia. Her work is characterised by natural tones of olive and terracotta, as well as graphic blacks and charcoals.

The subject matter of her work largely concentrates on botanical forms, often featuring branch and leaf shapes - a reflection of her upbringing and heritage, surrounded by nature and the work of her great grandfather Sir Hans Heysen OBE.

Born in Melbourne, Australia, Kizek has lived throughout Europe and, most formatively, in Turkey for a number of years – providing a source of inspiration and sparking a love for the warmth of the Mediterranean. Throughout her work she uses precise graphic shapes that celebrate the beauty of the natural and the imperfect.

The current collection includes original artworks, and signed and numbered limited edition prints.

Steven P. ★★★★★

The gouache on linen has such a lovely matte finish that photographs don't quite capture, and the natural olive tones shift beautifully in different light. It's been hanging in my hallway for a week now and I keep catching myself stopping to look at it.

Edward B. ★★★★★

The oak frame is beautifully made and feels substantial, and the natural olive tones in the gouache bring a calm warmth to my living room that shifts with the afternoon light. It arrived carefully packed and looks exactly like the listing photos, which is always a relief with original art.

John T. ★★★★★

The gouache on linen has this soft, matte texture that photos don't do justice to—it shifts in the light as I move around the room. The natural olive tones fit perfectly above my sofa, and the oak frame feels substantial without being heavy.
