Didn't expect a butter knife to feel this solid in hand, but the olive wood has a nice weight and the blade spreads cold butter without tearing up my toast. It's non porous too, so it doesn't hold onto the garlic butter smell from last night's bread.
The olive wood has a really tight grain that doesn't absorb butter or leave any smell behind, which I wasn't expecting from a wooden knife. It's firmer than the cheap bamboo one I had before and feels solid enough to last years. Using it every morning for toast now.
The grain on this little knife is gorgeous, and it feels surprisingly sturdy in the hand for something so slim. I mainly use it for spreading butter on toast, and the fact that it's non-porous means it cleans up in seconds without soaking in any odors. It's already become my daily go-to.
