Verity Kizek はオーストラリア・シドニーを拠点に活動するアーティスト。オリーブやテラコッタなどの自然な色調と、グラフィックな黒やチャコールが特徴です。
作品の主題は主に植物形態に集中しており、枝や葉の形を多く取り入れています。これは、自然に囲まれた環境と、曽祖父であるサー・ハンス・ヘイゼン OBE の作品に影響を受けた、彼女の育ちと遺産を反映しています。

The olive tones in this gouache piece are so much richer in person than on screen, and the linen texture catches the light beautifully. It’s been hanging in my hallway for a week now and I keep stopping to look at it.
The oak frame gives it a weight and finish you don't usually get with prints, and the linen texture really makes the olive tones feel alive. It's hung above my desk and somehow the room calmer for it.
