The velvet side is that deep wine color I was hoping for, and the linen backing looks great flipped the other way too. They hold their shape really well on my couch instead of flattening out like my old ones.
The feather down insert makes these ridiculously comfortable to sink into on the couch. The burgundy velvet has a nice depth to it in person, and the linen backing keeps them from feeling too heavy. Been about a month and no shedding or flattening yet.
I flipped mine to the linen side for summer and it's surprisingly breathable, not scratchy at all. The feather down insert makes it sink just enough when you lean back on it. Burgundy color is richer in person than the photos suggested.
