The velvet has a slight sheen that picks up the light nicely without looking shiny, and the burgundy is richer in person than in the photos. It holds its shape well on the sofa arm, though I do fluff it back into place after the dog claims it.

I wasn't sure about the structured shape at first, but it holds its form perfectly on my reading chair without slouching. The medium-sheen velvet feels substantial, not cheap, and the burgundy adds a nice depth without being too loud.
